1. Tumalo Falls These beautiful falls are located in the Deschutes National Forest, near Tumalo State Park and Tumalo city proper. During the winter and early spring months, the main gate is closed off, so you’ll have to trek to the falls with your sweetie. However, in the summer and fall, it’s a quick drive up to the parking lot, which fills up fast, so come claim your spot early in the morning or in the evening, where you’ll have a great view of the sunset over the mountains.

Fortunately, most tech suppliers have a decent return policy. Overall, it’s not worth the investment for the majority of gamers, especially those casual weekend raid warriors. A simple mouse will do. But if you do decide to take the plunge and buy a decent mouse you can decide from there if it’s right for you.

Years ago, I sat in front of a computer typing for a week–for summer camp. Most summers, I stayed at a 4H camp on the lake, brimming with trees and nature and occasionally a couple of bears meandering through the campsite (there was an alert dog for that). This was a different sort of camp. We didn’t stay in bunk beds or sing songs around a campfire. Instead, we learned how to code.

We created programs that ran a small desktop fan, controlled fighting robots, and racing cars, and even accidentally set off a small fire in the elementary school’s chemistry lab. I didn’t regret forgoing a traditional summer camp for this one. I felt proud to learn even just the basics of a new skill set, whether or not I’d apply it to my profession in the future. It proved useful, but not always for the reasons you might think.

Besides the most well-known and famous software engineers (namely, Bill Gates and Elon Musk), there are a number of self-taught and self-made software engineers who have made an impact on how software is used and developed in the tech industry.

I absolutely adored this little book. The characters, expressions and color palette are perfect for its intended audience. The back cover of the book describes its contents well and directly addresses parents. As a blurb I would know immediately that this book is for me and my kids.

Love the overall design. Bright colors, distinct lines and adorable characters. The intro is great for kids (having a spot for them to write their names, giving a sense of their ownership of the book; something special just for them) and parents, with a detailed blurb explaining what is found therein.

From a reader’s point of view, did you enjoy reading this story?

Yes! I felt frustrated at a few of the plot twists and the shifts in tone/genre, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It means I got invested in the story, and enjoyed it enough to care about finding what I felt needs some improvement or alterations.
